This is Mark Trail's Book of Animals: North American Mammals from Scholastic Books, dated 1961. This one, by Trail, a well accomplished cartoonist who did various educational wildlife strips. All in all, the book is in decent condition with wear from age and normal handling. See pictures for details. His art inside come across as pieces that can be used fairly easily for various wood block / perhaps wood burning crafts.
