This is How's Inky, a book by Sam Campbell from his Forest Life Series. This book was published by Pacific Press, 1943. It is soft cover, 127 pages, and is a story of Inky the Porcupine and his pals, where they offer young readers some highlights on happiness. The covers and spine show notable wear from age and normal handling. The pages inside have light wear, but are still nice and white.
