This is a digital voice recorder from Sony, model ICD-B500. It measures approximately 4 1/4 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and 3/4 inch thick. Recordings can be transferred for archiving to your computer via a cable running from the earphone jack to the line or mic in on your sound card. It has no USB connector or any way to take a memory card.
This is the recorder only. No batteries, cables, documentation, or anything else is included.
The manual can be downloaded in PDF format from Sony. One thing in particular I noticed about this model and confirmed from the instructions is there is no power button or switch. Installing batteries powers it up and removing the batteries powers it down.
